HANDBUILDING WORKSHOPS
FEBRUARY FACE JUGS

The face jug workshop is here!! All skill levels are welcome!
Various shapes and sizes of bottles and jugs will be provided for you to choose from.
Kyle - our resident jug guy - will demonstrate how to find a face and personality that fits your jug and provide step-by-step instruction to create features that make your piece unique.
All work will be fired and various finish options will be discussed. Allow 2-3 weeks for firing.

Slips, Stains, and washes
Returning Summer 2023!
There's more than just glaze!
Let's cover all the ways you can embellish the surface of your work. Colored slips, stains, and washes abound in a focused 4 week course.
During class, techniques will be demonstrated on slabs and extruded forms. Once you've learned the basics, create your own pieces to try out your new skills!
Includes 10lbs of clay and one day of Open Studio per week while class is in session. Some experience is recommended.

RAKU and Alternative Firing Workshop
This workshop will provide an opportunity for you to try new things!
We will experiment with traditional raku glazes ,obvara and feather/horse hair raku. Each participant will be provided with 5 test pots to experiment with. These pots will go home with you !
Potter's are welcome to bring 3-5 bisque pots no larger than 8 inches in any direction.
Wear close-toed shoes and appropriate clothing. You will be given the opportunity to glazes, fire and enjoy the process !

If you are ready to have a home studio, we are here to help. Don't miss this chance to get a head start on setting up a practical and efficient space.
We have years of practice and several studio set-ups ranging from back yards to community centers under our collective belts.
We will provide practical advice from equipment needs and electrical demands to firing kilns and mixing glazes. A comprehensive workbook will be provided.
Space is limited to allow adequate time for individual needs to be discussed.
BAMBOO TOOL MAKING
"Even the simplest tools can empower people to do great things."
Join us for a day of demos, lunch, and tool making! Gianna Eden will share her tool making and throwing skills with us in this 4 hour workshop. Using bamboo and reclaimed metal we will fashion unique tools that will give your tool kit a sense of pride!
