RAKU GROUP FIRING
ABOUT:
Who is this for?
Perfect for pottery clubs, guilds, friends, team-building events, or anyone wanting to experience the excitement of raku firing together.
How many people can participate?
Groups of 8–12 potters.
What is the cost?
$95 per person with an 8-person minimum ($760 minimum group fee).
The fee includes:
-
Instruction and supervision
-
Basic raku glazes
-
Kiln firings and fuel
-
All firing materials
-
Same-day finished pieces
What should I bring?
Each participant should bring 2–3 bisque-fired pots, with a maximum size of 8 inches in any direction.
Can I bring my own glazes?
Yes! You’re welcome to use our basic raku glazes or bring your own approved raku glazes.
How long does it take?
Plan on 3–4 hours, depending on group size and the number of pieces being fired.
Will I take my pottery home the same day?
Yes! One of the best parts of raku is that you’ll leave with your finished pieces that day.
Do I need prior experience?
No experience is necessary. We’ll guide your group through every step—from glazing to firing to the dramatic reduction process.
Is it safe?
Absolutely. Safety instructions are provided, and all firings are supervised. Closed-toe shoes and natural-fiber clothing are recommended.
Can we bring snacks or drinks?
Yes! Feel free to bring refreshments for your group.
