WOODWORKING: RIB DESIGN 101

Service Description

Bring your sketches and let’s design and test the ribs of your dreams! Ribs for fancy feet, Curves for cups or sticks for trimming … whatever you can imagine!! In this workshop, we will make templates to test in clay and then make them in wood. Each potter will make 3-5 ribs. About Phil: Phillip Fuentes is a woodturner, furniture maker, and bladesmith from Greensboro, NC. Recently relocated to Savannah, he is in the process of setting up another workshop. In his workshop he makes chef and carving knives. The shop also produces small furniture, all manner of wooden kitchenware and utensils, and turned work both artistic and practical. Phillip attended The Center for Furniture Craftsmanship in Rockport ME, followed by a short teaching stint and then an apprenticeship in Sunbury OH with Craig Vandall Stevens. He has worked in cabinet, millwork, and boat shops, as well as teaching at John C Campbell Folk School, Arrowmont School of Arts and Crafts, and Sawtooth School for Visual Art. NO WOODWORKING EXPERIENCE NEEDED

Cancellation Policy

Class deposits and workshop deposits are non-refundable and non-transferable. There is no fee to cancel a Studio Lab session if you are unable to make it and cancel within 48 hours. Sessions on a plan will be reapplied to your account automatically when you cancel your booking. Studio Lab Cancellations are possible via the website or Wix app up to 2 hours before the Session. Cancellations that are not within the approved window cannot be refunded.
